Street Fair, Fun Products, Animal Rights, Doughnuts, Vegan Store

Hellllo world!! How are you doing today? 😉

The weather was sunny, but then it started to rain like crazy!! What a weather! How’s the weather in your area?

I like when the weather’s sunny, because it makes me want to run outside like crazy and absorb all the sunshine I can! What’s your favorite weather?

On Sunday, I went to the StreetFair in Downtown Seattle.

On the bus we go…

Because there was no “official enterance”, I snapped pictures of the stores that were out.

Tons of clothing.

And tons of jewleries! 🙂

Among the many things that they were selling, I found a cute Salt & Pepper Shaker.

Hugs! 😀 They were so cute! (but pricy, too. $14 for two? Wow!)

A cute tanktop.

Barney! Ha ha! It was cute, so I had to put it on 😉

AR booth! That got me REALLY excited! 😀

Bumper stickers.

Free stickers.

Pins.

Free information.

T-shirts!!! 😀 Did I get one? Maybe!

More bumper stickers? I may have gotten some 😉

More pins!!! They were really cute, but I knew I can make most of it. 😉

For something to keep our mouths occupied while we were walkng snack/lunch, we had Mighty O’s.

Yum!!!! A doezen for $5.35 (I think). It’s a good price. (compared to the $6. 59-ish at WFs!)

Then we walked out of the Fair to find the Vegan store my B was talking about.

Before the actual store caught our eyes, this is what we found. (Vegan pizza! How awesome is that?!) 😉

Side Car For Pigs Peace!! (That’s an interesting name, btw) Never heard of it, and first time going.

Vegan cosmetics!

(now that my chapstick is about to run out, I should have gotten some)

Wow! It’s like a bookstore!! (but with only food/vegan/cook books) 🙂

Out of all these products, some of the products that caught my eyes were…

(we got this one! And it tasted very seedy, because there were literally chunks of pumpkin seeds in it! We thought it would taste chocolaty somewhat, but the brown color was from the figs, so it tasted very figgy) 😉

In the freezer section, something amazing was in it…

Hooooooooooooly ice cream!!!!!!!!! It’s Raw AND Vegan! WTH!!!! (and the price was “WTH” too. $4+? Ouch!) But I would totally have it someday!!! (just don’t know when…)

And Vegan Twinkies?!?! Is it possible?? (Now it is!) I was never a big fan of food like this, but if you are vegan and you miss your twinkies, here they are!

Numerous art pieces on the wall. (and the two people in the picture are both vegan too!) 🙂

Okay, if I try to upload every single picture I took, that’s going to take forever, so I’m going to call it good. (Seriously, this post took for EVER!!!!) But it was fun making it, so it’s a-okay. 🙂

Are there any vegan stores in your area? What’s your favorite store?

(and this is what happened to the doughnut bag afterwards)

Greasy, I know. 😉 It was pretty oily, but the doughnuts were still good! 😀 What’s your favorite vegan pastry? Anything in particular? Or do you like all kinds of food?

Well, that’s all for now! Thaaaaaaaaaanks for coming!!!!! 🙂

P.S: Katie’s having a Fat Giveaway!! 😀

Pink, Inspirational, Surprise Birthday Party, and Cooking

Helloooooooo world! How are you doing today? 😉

My week is finally relaxing. Even though we are learning in school, the big tests (except for the finals) are over. What a relief 🙂

By the way, if you’re still in school, when is your last day? Everyone on the East Coast seems to get out of school earlier than we do over here. (6/15 is our last day) So just wondering, when do you get out?

This weekend was in a good way, intense. With a coincidentual pinkness with the clothes we wore, it was pretty funny! 😉

I was also wearing pink that day, so I guess people around here like pink on a sunny day!

I found this poster in my classroom, and it was very inspirational.

“If at first you don’t succeed, you’re in good company”

Lincoln: “Abraham Lincoln’s first business as owner of a dried goods store was a flop. He was later appointed postmaster in his township and had the worst efficiency in the county.”

FDR: “FDR began his public career in public service after flunking out of Columbia Law School. He then decided to run for governor of New York.”

Eisenhower: “Dwight D. Eisenhower was rejected three times for command positions before being appointed Supreme Allied Commander in 1942.”

Truman: “Harry Truman opened a hat and shirt shop at age 35 that went bankrupt after just two years. Truman worked 15 years to pay off the debt.”

Wow! It’s really interesting to find out that famous people like them had rough times before they became presidents! 😉 I thought it was very inspirational to see how even when things are bad at first, it’s going to turn out okay. 😉

After school, we had a surprise birthday party for my friend.

And there just happens to be quite a few couples in this group!

(btw, she is NOT turning 40) 😉

See? They were pink too 😀 And they don’t even go to school with us anymore, so it was just very funny how many of us were coincidentually pink!

And because we are a good team (and a good group of friends), we made a human pyramid!

We’re 17 – 18, but we’re still silly and we’re still kids. 😉

There were many photos taken, and I’ll put up a couple.

I love my friends! 😀

Moving on to my cookings now. I made a few things, and they all turned out fantastic!

For my first product, I tweeked Averie‘s High Raw Vegan Chocolate Mexican Wedding Cookies and turned it in to a High Raw Vegan Chocolate Nutty Cookie Kreme!

It’s the same recipe as she has, but instead of Shredded Coconuts, I put in Cashews and Oatmeal. (that’s all I had, and I’d prefer those two over coconuts) 😉

And you can put these in yogurt for extra sweetness (or chocolatey-ness)

Mmm the marble design…Hey! It’s good 😉

Second, I made Pure Bars!

I read the ingredients on the wrapper, and I put in what they needed 🙂 (except for walnuts; we didn’t have any!) 😦 But it still tasted like a PURE bar!

When it was being mashed up in the bowl. 😉

Thrid, I made Raw Marinara Sauce!

This recipe is from Ani Phyo‘s Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen. It was reaaaaaaaaaallly good, and I guess I put a little too much garlic 😉

This was one of the key ingredient that made the Sauce taste like it did.

TJ’s Sun Dried Tomatoes! ($3.29; too pricy, I think, but oh well!) It was really helpful, and it made it taste more tomato-y. Anyone know a recipe where I can use this? I have quite a lot left over. 😉

Well, that’s it for this week! Like always, thaaaaanks for coming!! 🙂 (and enjoy the sun this weekend!!!)

That was a-mazing!!

Hi world! How are you doing today? 😉

Oh My Gosh. I just had the best thing for dinner this Friday! (I had to let this one out before Wednesday, which is when I do my usual post, because I was just too excited and couldn’t wait for Wednesday to come!)

It’s…Vegan Lasagna!!!!

Soory, I took out some before I snapped a picture. 😉

Daaaaaaaaang this tasted A-MAZING!!!! It tasted just like the real deal, but it’s a lot healthier (vegan!!) and…yummier!! 😀 (Since my bro and pop got pizza, I wanted something along the line of that)

Ever since I went vegan, I haven’t had a “cheese dish”, so I really liked it!! (and because even when I wasn’t vegan, we didn’t have lasagna that often, so I loved it all through out!!) 😀 I’m really glad I made this!

Does anyone want to know how to make it? Should I put a recipe here? (ahh, I can’t wait for everyone’s answer, so what the heck! I’m going to post it right now!) Someone’s *deff* excited about this! 😉

Miho’s Vegan Lasagna

(this is how I made it. Totally feel free to do what you want to do!)

Ingredients:

  • Mushrooms
  • Marinara Sauce
  • 11/2 – 1 block of tofu
  • Brown Rice (if you have any)
  • Vegan Cheese (or any of the nooch dressing/sauce from Averie’s Blog)
  • Fresh Basil

Steps:

Cut the tofu into thin slices (about 5mm or 0.5cm) and lay them in a batch.

Put about 4-5 tbsp of Marinara Sauce (I used the one from TJ’s).

Put basil on top.

Put the vegan cheese (or the nooch sauce/dressing)

Put the Brown Rice.

Put more basil.

Put Sauce, tofu, and Basil.

Add the mushrooms (Mine was marinated in the combination of Apple Vinegar + Olive Oil + Pepper + Salt + A little bit of Brown Sugar)

(Because I don’t have an oven, my BF went back to his house to bake it. Before he stuck it in the oven, he added his leftover tofu and one slice of cheese.) Stick it in the oven for 30 minutes at 400 degrees and voila!

Hoooooooly yum! (I just realized that this has A LOT of layers!) And I realized that I really missed food like this!!!

The “chesse” doesn’t have the actual cheese-ness, but hey! It still was melty and warm 🙂

Of course, I gave some to my BF so he can have it for tomorrow. 😉

And for dessert we had Vegan Espresso Creme Chocolate Cupcake.

Mmmmm!!!! That was the (food wise) highlight of my week(end)!!

Of course, my week & weekend post will come too, so no worries about that! 😀

Oh! And if you make this, leave me a comment and a link so I can go check it out! 😉

Thanks for coming! 🙂

P.S: Averie is having a Chia Seed Giveaway!!

What a busy week!

Hi everyone! How are you doing today? 😉

This week, life’s been pretty busy for me. With all the AP Tests + other exams, it’s pretty crazy! How’s your week going for you?

So last Friday, we went to see a school musical (because I wanted to see my friend sing and act), and before that, my boyfriend brought up the idea to go out for dinner.

This is a very nice, quiet, small restaurant, and I really like it.

It’s totally understandable why it got this award. 😉

We went about a month ago, and that post can be viewed here.

Like always, somebody was being indecisive.

…Or just being silly. 😉

Because I like to try new things every time, these are what we ordered:

Miso Soup. I think they used red bean paste, because it was saltier than what I have at home (where I don’t use red)

Brown Rice. It looks like the brand that I have at home. 😉

Fried Tofu with Almonds. This was new, and I liked it! (though the outside part was quite thick. I was really surprised when I looked at it!)

Daaaaaang! That’s thick! I’m glad I realized it, and it was making me full quicker, I decided to take it off, and it tasted like plain tofu. (it was still good, though) 😉

After this special “date”, we went to see the musical.

After we bought the tickets for it, we had time, so we went back in the car and had our dessert that didn’t make it after the musical tasted amazing.

Mmm! I love their vegan cheesecake! Good thing we shared, because one would be a little too much! 😉

Here’s what the musical was all about.

And my good friend drew this picture/cover.

Ha ha. Because she drew it for them, she got free tickets to get in. (Lucky!)

Ahh, I love her. She’s so funny. (And talented!) I’m proud to have a friend like her. 🙂

Overall, it was really good. (Saw several of my friends who I didn’t know that had amazing talents.) I was really impressed by how well our school choir is!

When it was over, I went looking for my friends and talked. And because her outfit was cute, I snatched a picture of her.

I always thought top hat + uniform-type outfit was cute. What’s your favorite type of clothing combination?

And today, I had a Senior Presentation, so as a reward, Michael gave me a couple of surprises!

Trader Joe’s chocolate! ( x2!!) These are my most favorite chocolate bars at TJ’s, and they fulfill my chocolate desires greatly! Thank you, Michael!

Speaking of food, it’s time for…

Review Alerts!

Townshend’s Tea Company‘s White Rose Kombucha! Found it at WF’s for $3 each. (yeay sale!) Compared to the Kombucha I usually have, this one had a lighter “first taste”. It was easier to drink than Synergy’s, and I really liked it!

It came in a nice bottle, too. 😉 Would there be a next time? If there’s a sale for it, yes!!!

And today, I also bought chocolate that I’ve never tried before.

Chocolate ( x2!!) from Chocolove xoxox!! These were on sale as well. (2 for $4. I call that good for a chocolate deal!!!)

This one is Strong Dark Chocolate.

And the one below is Peppermint in Dark Chocolate.

(This one isn’t listed on its website list!) 😦 Maybe it’s not on there because it’s either really new or really old. Or it may just be too tasty and popular to mention on the website. 😉 I’m hyped up to try these two!

And this is also what I bought. Two big blocks of tofu, also on sale. (2 for $3. I love sales!!!) Mmm. Do you like tofu? What’s something that you have to have in your house/fridge? Mine is chocolate for sure!!!! 😀

Mmmmm!!!! I love chocolates!!!! Anyone love chocolate? What’s your favorite?

Ooh, and here’s a picture for Katie‘s “Hug a Fat” event! 😀

Combining Averie‘s Raw Vegan Coconut Oil Chocolate and Raw Vegan Peanut Butter Cups recipe together to create Raw Vegan Coconut Oil Chocolate Cups!! (WOO! What a name!!)

I added more agave because when I made this, it tasted like…nothing. It tasted like eating the coconut oil straight from the jar, so if you’re going to combine the two recipes like me, I highly recommend you to put more sweetner in it!!!

4 more tests in the next two days, and I’m going to relax! What’s your plan for the week? Any awesome plans for the weekend?

Happy hump day! And thaaaaaaaaanks for coming! 🙂

P.S: Green Mommy Blog is having her 3rd awesome giveaway!!
